  16. Well, here goes the latest:

  18. I have a diamond floating above some chairs.  It's simply an 8-sided cone
  19. with modifications to its base end so it looks like a gem-stone.  I set
  20. some nice attributes for reflection, refraction, and color.  My problem is
  21. this:  I have to put words on each of the 8 facets that encircle (or
  22. en-octagon would be more precise) the top octagon face.  However, to take
  23. an image I've generated in CG as white text over black and incorporate it
  24. as a Planar Texture Map only seems to work on x, y, or z axes.  I try each
  25. axis and "slide" the image around on the face to center it but it is
  26. always tilted and strewn off at some odd angle.  How do I tell Lightwave's
  27. Planar Texture Map axis requestor that I want to stick the image to a
  28. surface's NORMAL and not a generic X, Y, or Z axis?
